CDP, a climate research provider and environmental disclosure system, has launched a new sustainability reporting platform aligned with the IFRS Foundation’s International Sustainability Standard Board (ISSB) climate disclosure standard. This platform streamlines reporting for companies, harmonizing with global standards. As part of this launch, CDP introduced a new questionnaire aligned with the ISSB’s new climate disclosure standard, IFRS S2. The goal is to ease the reporting burden on companies and encourage broader reporting on key environmental areas, including climate change, deforestation, water security, and plastic impact. In 2023, over 23,000 companies disclosed through CDP, representing $67 trillion in market capitalization. The alignment with ISSB standards aims to facilitate compliance and provide urgently needed information for investors to comply with the new standards.
